Thursday/Friday October 26-27

Packet Pick-Up is at 263 King Street in Oviedo (this is near Oviedo High School at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo – head for the historic sanctuary, right on the corner of Lake Jessup and King Street).

Thursday from 4:30-6:30 p.m./Friday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. AND 2-4 p.m.

Saturday, October 28 – RACE DAY

(at 263 King Street, First United Methodist Church of Oviedo)

6:30 – Registration Opens

7:25 –  Opening Remarks, Stretches, Race Instructions

7:33 – National Anthem (Quintet from Oviedo High School’s Band: Sarah Cooper (trumpet), Olin Grindrod (trumpet), Kyle North (French horn), Brett Mann (Trombone), Julia Scully (tuba).

7:35 – Race Starts! (this is the official posted time of sunRISE on Oct. 29) Race begins & Bounce House/Kids’ Area opens

7:45 – Breakfast Line Opens (Guests and non-runners welcome! We recommend a $5 donation for all who haven’t registered to run/walk – 100% goes to the food pantry. Please be generous if you’re able, but don’t let cost keep you away)

8:00 – Heritage Stage Opens (actors in costume will tell about the past – this
will happen in a loop non-stop from now through the end of the event – we
recommend a $3+ donation per person for non-registered runners)

8:45 – Kids’ Fun Runs (every finisher receives a ribbon!)

9:00 – Awards Ceremony (we expect this to take about 30 minutes)

9:30 – Dulcimers on the stage in the Fellowship Hall (a dulcimer is an instrument)

7:45ish to 10:15 – Heritage Stage and Kid’s areas open!

Sunday, October 29 – TWILIGHT TOUR (at the Oviedo Cemetery)

6-7 p.m. – Twilight Tour at Oviedo Cemetery (FREE, but a $3+ donation per person is appreciated if you’re able – 100% goes to charity)
